In 1959 Bob Burridge started his own business, Robert Burridge Toolmaker. Robert Burridge Toolmaker was located in Leichardt. As the business grew, more factory space became essential, this saw Bob firstly move the business to Smithfield, then in 1973 to 6 Coombes Drive Penrith.
In 1983 Bob and his wife, Val Burridge, started Boval Engineering, that focused on sheetmetal fabricating and manufacturing.
Bob and Val retired in 1986 and sold Boval Engineering to the current owner Peter McGovern.
With increased market demand and business growth, Boval Engineering moved to larger premises at 13 Coombes Drive, Penrith, where it is located today.
Even though Bob has been retired for a number of years he still has an active interest in Boval Engineering and the sheetmetal industry, and provides invaluable assistance as a business consultant.
As one of the sheetmetal industry’s front runners, Boval Engineering excels where the manufacture of custom precision light gauge sheetmetal products are required.
